Porfyros, from the widely travelled red grape variety Syrah, is characterised by its aromatic composition of ripe red fruits on a background of spices and by its subtle tannins.
A dry red wine with intense ruby color, featuring aromatic notes of sour cherry, plum, and delicate peppery hints. It is an expressive and versatile choice for meats, grilled dishes, and aged yellow cheeses, while its rich finish and balanced structure make it ideal to accompany any meal or to be enjoyed on its own.
Harvest:
The grapes are hand-picked from selected low-yield vineyard sites that showcase the variety’s characteristics. They are carefully transported in small crates.
Vinification:
Classic red vinification with fermentation in stainless-steel vinificators at controlled temperatures up to 24°C. Aged in stainless-steel tanks for at least 6 months.
