Crypt
PGI Tyrnavos
Aged Dry Red Wine
Crypt keeps a beautifully “hidden” bouquet of enticing aromas—red fruits, spices, and notes of vanilla. A wine from the well-travelled Merlot variety, aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle. Deep purplish color, soft on the palate, with balanced acidity and a long finish.
Harvest:
The grapes are hand-picked from selected low-yield vineyard sites that highlight the variety’s characteristics. They are carefully transported in small crates.
Vinification:
Classic red vinification with fermentation in stainless-steel vinificators at controlled temperatures up to 24°C.
Aging / Maturation:
Aged in new and used French oak barrels (225 L) for at least 12 months, followed by 6 months in the bottle. It has an aging potential that can exceed 8 years after bottling.
Alcohol Content: ~14% Vol
