The Wine Making Cooperative of Tyrnavos was established in 1961 from the vine-growers of the Province of Tyrnavos aiming for the development of the rich dynamic of the area's grape production.


In Ambelona of Tyrnavos (total land 25.000 acres) selective wine making varieties are cultivated with dominant the red variety Hamburg Muscatel. It is a variety that grows predominantly in the area of Tyrnavos and is not easily encountered in other areas of Greece.
The white wine making varieties that are cultivated in the area are Roditis, Ugni Blanc, Bandiki, Maccabeu, Grenach-Blanche, Dembina and others.


The activities of the Agricultural Cooperative of Tyrnavos did not end there. It was the first cooperative that produced and bottled tsipouro and ouzo and also old distillate in oak barrels


The Agricultural Cooperative of Tyrnavos also has a production unit of white concentrated grape juice.


The Agricultural Corporation of Tyrnavos from its day of establishment follows a continuous rising course, a fact that classifies it among the best corporations of the country.
